MEMEC – Who They Are
MEMEC is a Leeds-based charity that supports refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants—especially from Middle Eastern and Mediterranean backgrounds. Founded in 2016, it focuses on education, advocacy, wellbeing, and community integration.

Education
ESOL (English) Classes: For adults, all levels (Pre-entry to Entry 3), in-person and online.
Arabic Classes: For children (ages 5+), including reading, writing, and GCSE/A-level prep.
Islamic Education: Quran, Hadith, Fiqh taught bilingually (English & Arabic).
